Natural stone events in October 2026

Marmomac and The City, Verona, Italy

Dates: 21 September to 11 October 2026. Now closed.

What it is: a programme that runs alongside Marmomac, placing natural stone installations, artworks and urban furnishings in Verona's historic centre. The organisers describe a collaboration with White Carrara that brings together the municipalities of Verona, Carrara and Pietrasanta.

Who it is for: architects, designers and anyone following how stone is used in public space. It is a design showcase, not a trading floor.

Context: the main Marmomac fair, its 60th edition, took place at Veronafiere from 22 to 25 September 2026.

California Stone Summit, Fresno, United States

Date: 8 October 2026. Now closed.

What it is: a one-day safety town hall for stone fabrication covering workplace safety regulations, equipment handling, hazard identification and training. It is part of the 2026 Stone Summit series of regional one-day events for countertop fabricators, run by the Natural Stone Institute and Stone World.

Who it is for: fabrication shop owners, managers and safety staff.

Hardscape North America, Louisville, United States

Dates: 21 to 23 October 2026, Kentucky Exposition Center.

What it is: a trade show for the hardscape industry, the companies that build outdoor paving, walls and landscape structures. It is listed in the Natural Stone Institute's events calendar and is co-located with the Equip Exposition.

Who it is for: landscape and hardscape contractors, distributors and suppliers of paving and walling materials, including natural stone.

Some trade fair directories list other stone events in October 2026. We could not confirm them with an organiser, so we have left them out. If you organise a natural stone event that should be here, tell us through the contact page and include the organiser's own listing.

Looking ahead to November

Stone Africa, Cairo, Egypt: 12 to 15 November 2026, Cairo International Convention Center, according to the organiser's website (stoneafrica.com).

A Texas Stone Summit in Dallas, part of the same Natural Stone Institute and Stone World series, appears in the institute's listings with two different dates, 29 October and 5 November 2026. Check with the institute before planning to attend.

Marble and Stone World in Dubai is listed by event directories for late November 2026. We have not yet confirmed the dates with the organiser.

Making a fair visit useful

A stand shows selected material in good light. It does not show the lot you would receive. These questions help turn a conversation at a stand into evidence you can compare afterwards.

1. Is this sample from a lot available now, or does it represent the material in general? Ask for the lot or block reference and full-slab photographs of the actual lot.

2. Who produces the stone? Ask whether the exhibitor quarries, processes or trades it, and where each step happens.

3. What test evidence exists for this stone? Ask for the complete report behind any figure on the brochure, with the laboratory, method and test date. Our checklist "Before you rely on a stone test report" explains what to look for.

4. On what basis is the price quoted? Ask whether it is per square metre of gross or usable area, and which delivery term and named place apply. Our guide "Compare stone quotations on the same basis" explains how to compare offers.

5. Can you confirm this in writing? Ask for the sample reference, the quotation basis and the lead time in an email after the fair, so that every exhibitor's answers can be compared side by side.
