Our editorial
policy.
Specific, candid and calm. Our aim is to help readers understand stone before they commit to it.
Ownership and connections
StoneDirect is built by a family active in the natural stone trade since 1995. Our editorial work serves the buyer. When a story involves a related business or a commercial relationship, we disclose it alongside that story.
Membership does not buy coverage
Member Yards cannot pay for articles, rankings or editorial placement. Membership and editorial decisions are separate. Every editorial mention of a member yard carries a Member Yard label.
Evidence before adjectives
We identify sources, reporting dates and the scope of data. We distinguish reported facts, examples and opinion. Illustrations are labelled, and a material study is never presented as a photograph of an available lot.
Verification has a defined scope
A profile will say which checks were completed and when. Verification is not a transaction guarantee. A yard that misrepresents a lot can lose membership.
Corrections and contributions
If something is wrong, tell us which page and which statement need review, with supporting information. We review substantive corrections and make material changes visible. Contributors will be identified and credited with permission.
